Hotel Class Explained
Standard (2*)
Good basic amenities and well located. In general the hotels are small, family run
businesses with a good central location. Bathrooms are en-suite in most properties.
First Class (3*)
Comfortable en-suite rooms, good amenities and public areas. Most first class properties
offer a restaurant on-site and many will have a swimming pool.
Superior (4*)
Good superior standard accommodation offering a large selection of services and
ammenities. Many superior hotels offer a selection of restaurants and virtually
all have a swimming pool and a health club.
Deluxe (5*)
Deluxe hotels offer the highest standards of service and facilities. They are acknowledged
as the leading properties in the town/city. Many have received internationally recognised
awards.
Home stays
As far as we are aware there are no * ratings awarded for home stays as yet! Just
as the title suggests, you will actually be the guest in someone’s home. We
use home stay options when trekking and visiting minority tribal villages, ensuring
you truly experience life in these wonderfully remote destinations. It follows that
facilities will be basic and you will find specific details on each itinerary. More
