Selective Asia is a fully licensed and bonded tour operator. We hold ATOL license # 9203, issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). ATOL - which is short for 'Air Travel Organisers Licensing' - exists to protect you, the customer, from losing money or being stranded abroad because of the failure of a travel firm or airline. In the highly unlikely event of our insolvency, the CAA will ensure that you are returned to the UK and will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for an advance booking consisting of any flights and land arrangements. ATOL was first introduced in 1972 and it gives comprehensive consumer protection to 28 million people in the UK who buy flights or air holidays each year.
Our ATOL membership means that our accounts are subject to regular checks by the CAA and whilst this cannot guarantee against failure it goes a long way to ensuring peace of mind. You can book with Selective Asia in complete confidence that all monies paid to us for air holidays are fully protected.

Know Before You Go

Launched in 2001, ‘Know Before You Go’ is an ongoing travel safety campaign run by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO). It encourages British nationals to be better prepared for their overseas trips with a view to avoiding common travelling traumas, risks and dangers – this advice applies to all nationalities.

The key campaign message is simple and applies to everyone - Know Before You Go – get travel insurance, research your destination including local laws and customs, visit your GP at least six weeks before travelling overseas and make copies of important travel documents.

Scheduled Airline Failure Insurance (SAF)

Schedule Airline Failure insurance protects you against an airline going out of business. Selective Asia offers this cover free of charge through our corporate policy. The cover becomes valid once a ticket has been issued and applies to scheduled airlines only (i.e not low-cost operators such as Air Asia). This is not a travel insurance policy.
