The city centre Traders Hotel is something of a landmark in itself within Yangon - its 21 floors place it amongst the highest buildings in the city. The views from many rooms are sensational, offering a birds-eye view of the streets below, with the Yangon River on the skyline.
Thanks to its central location, you are also on the doorstep of some of the city’s many attractions, and well placed to enjoy an evening stroll into China Town.
Inside, you’ll find the high quality restaurants and bars you would expect from a superior hotel, with a 5th floor pool and gym. The guest rooms are somewhat formal, decorated in the International style. But while Traders is less representative of Colonial Burma than some of the older hotels on our roster, its rooms are generous in size and extremely comfortable, and those views really do make the place spectacular. The amenities are of a high standard, and service throughout the hotel is faultless.
