The latest addition to Inle’s lakeside resorts, the Pristine Lotus Spa Resort is nothing short of magnificent. Although its views of the lake are partial at best, that is where any disappointment stops. A nearby hot spring provides hot water for all 49 of the elegant, split-level wooden chalets spread amongst the resort’s delightful gardens, and for the Padonma Balinese Spa, which was recently renovated and features jacuzzis set into the natural rock surround.
Inside, the décor is fresh, bright and slightly contemporary, with colourful furnishings perfectly complimenting the teak interior. A spiral staircase leads up to your mezzanine level deck - the ideal spot to read a book or simply relax after a day on the lake. Bathrooms are spacious and sleek, and air-con or heating is provided, depending on the season.
The circular restaurant can be opened up to the fresh air in good weather, and a decking area looks out across the gardens.
