Boasting perhaps the best setting in all Maymyo, the Kandawgyi Hill Resort offers impressive views across the lake of the same name. The original house was built in 1918, with a number of additional rooms added to the rear of the property in more recent years. The pick of the rooms are certainly in the original building, with the two suites at the front commanding the highest price due to the views.
Rooms elsewhere are far from scruffy. However, and this is a point of debate, the lack of noise at the back is of equal benefit. There is a delightful front lawn & terrace, and the hotel's cosy restaurant serves a variety of cuisines.
