The Attran is a recently built bungalow-style hotel, very comfortable with excellent facilities in every suite. Some of the rooms have a lovely sunset view over the nearby Thanlwin River, as does the verandah restaurant, which serves a tasty selection of Burmese & other Asian dishes, along with good seafood & barbecue grills. Set amidst lovely gardens, the suites are all large, each with its own sitting room and ensuite bathroom with bathtub, shower, and a decent supply of hot water.
Rooms are individually air-conditioned, too, although rather harshly lit and decorated in neutral colours with fairly basic wooden furniture & generic-looking but clean, comfortable textiles. Well-received by its guests, who particularly rate the restaurant’s excellent food, the Attran is a peaceful, pleasant place to stay, and brilliantly located for exploring the nearby town, which is also a foodie heaven due to the culinary prowess of its varied immigrant population.
