Kapalai Sipadan Dive Resort Sipadan Marine Park - Stilted Water Village Back

60 minutes by speedboat from the Sabah coast and 20 minutes from both Mabul and Sipadan Islands, you come across a water-village, literally out of the blue! Kapalai Dive Resort is a remarkable "village" built completely over water on a shallow sand bank.

Originally conceived with divers in mind, the resort now receives almost equal numbers of divers, non-divers and honeymooners. Many are just looking for a beautiful and unusual place to relax after exploring the wilds of Sabah. Numerous world famous dive-sites are within easy reach, and the snorkelling around the "village" is spectacular, with rays and turtles amongst the common sightings.
