Thailand's beaches

It's all about the sand

Thailand’s hundreds of world class beaches makes it hard to suggest the best, but we do feel some stand out from the crowd. The least developed of our favourite beach destinations, Koh Lanta has been an up-&-coming Thai island for the past five years. Forget the ‘it’s Koh Samui 20 years ago’ comments that get bounced around—Koh Lanta is an established island with its very own appeal. The backpacker scene is well established on several beaches, which means there’s a chilled, youthful nightlife to dip into when you fancy it. But the Pimalai & Narima resorts enjoy their own stretches of private beach, ensuring solitude & romance on tap.
