Vietnam Luxury Holidays

Vietnam is one of the leading holiday destinations in South-East Asia and is fast becoming a world force in providing luxury holidays of the highest standard. Thanks to the loosening of economic restrictions in recent years, there has been a number of incredibly successful joint Vietnamese-foreign hotel and resort openings that have helped lead the way in the Vietnam luxury holiday market. This, in turn, has given rise to further ventures, often backed solely by Vietnamese businessmen, which have helped push the bar even higher.

What does Vietnam have to offer the luxury traveller?

Aside from an excellent infrastructure, a welcoming smile and the immense beauty and cultural diversity of Vietnam itself, there are the resorts. Vietnam now has three super deluxe resorts, a figure that is set to double in the next two years. Every major town has at least one, if not several, deluxe (5*) hotels and, along the country’s 2,000km+ of coastline, the number of 5* resorts is increasing steadily. Thanks to the seemingly endless beaches, only in a few places have the resorts or hotels become congested, unlike neighbouring Thailand, where you can barely find an empty patch of sand for love or money these days.

Two of Vietnam’s luxury resorts in focus

The Nam Hai on China Beach

Whilst relatively new to the scene, the Nam Hai Resort is simply breathtaking. Located on a beautiful stretch of China Beach, facing onto the South China Sea, the resort is everything we’ve come to expect from the world’s very finest super deluxe resorts. If you want luxury and style, the Nam Hai has got bags of it.

The Six Senses Hideaway Ninh Van Bay

Whilst we aren’t Nha Trang’s biggest fan, we do love the Six Senses Hideaway Ninh Van Bay. Comfortably far away from the main resort town and only accessible by private boat, Ninh Van Bay is an absolute delight. The rustic-style resort ensures a peaceful and relaxing experience whilst the world-renowned Six Senses Spa guarantees blissful pampering in seriously luxurious surrounds.

The Six Senses Con Dao

Last and certainly not least is the latest addition to Vietnam's super-deluxe offerings; the Six Senses Con Dao. At the time of writing the resort has been open for just one month, although you wouldn't believe it from the attention its been receiving. Located on a typicaly undeveloped stretch of Con Dao's pristine sand, the resort is setting new standards in responsible luxury.
