- Or maybe extend your time in the Hin Boun region and visit the nearby village of Ban Thabuk; known as ‘bomb boat village’ due to the use of old Vietnam War bomb casings for various pieces of everyday furniture and even kayaks which are available to try. A first for most visitors is the opportunity to climb aboard one of the converted casings, and take a picturesque 'bomb boat' journey.
