The UNESCO protected town of Hoi An, and the wonderful white sands of nearby Cua Dai Beach are the perfect choice of destination for the entire family to spend some quality holiday time together. The Victoria Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa and Golden Sand Resort & Spa, both located right on the sand, are especially well suited for families, with kid’s clubs and pools, and a choice of restaurants catering to all tastes amongst their many facilities.
The maze of quiet lanes that run between the Old Town, along Thu Bong River Banks, and Cua Dai Beach are well worth exploring by bicycle, and there is always a friendly face and a waving opportunity along the way. Boat and fishing trips along the river and out into the bay are easily arranged and are a great opportunity to spend an hour or two on the water.
The town is well known as being home to Vietnam’s finest cuisine and you can eat well on almost any budget at many of the atmospheric restaurants that line Hoi An's harbour front. Hidden amongst the tiny backstreets, or at the beach shacks that run along the top of Cua Dai Beach, you will stumble across yet more culinary gems without even trying!
Hoi An’s local market is a hive of activity on any day of the week and is the sort of place you can return to day after day, never tiring of the sights and sounds. Wandering the ancient cobbled streets, the tree lined mini boulevards of the French Quarter, and along the harbour front where tiny fishing vessels come and go, you will start to understand why Hoi An is amongst Asia’s most magical destinations.
