Selective Asia at Angkor
Mention Cambodia and most people think of Angkor Wat; it's the only reason that the vast majority of us make our way to this small Indochinese country in the first instance.
Whilst we aim to show all our guests far more of the Cambodia's charms and riches, there is no denying that Angkor is simply incredible, breathtaking, awe-inspiring, unbelievable.
All our recommended itineraries in Cambodia include a few days at the temples and it's only very old hands that pass through without stopping off one last time.
To help you get a feel for the temple complex we've put together a 'tour' of the site. Select a temple from the table to the left and start to explore the Angkor temples.

Some questions answered:
How much of your holiday should you allow for touring the Angkor Temples?
How long is a piece of string!? We generally recommend two or three days, although many will stay longer, often taking a 'day off' from the temples on the third day - this allows you time away in order to prevent you getting 'templed out' - if that's possible!
On any Selective Asia holiday in Cambodia, you are likely to spend two or three days touring Angkor Wat and various other temples.
What about the crowds?
Our qualified guides understand the importance of minimising the impact of crowds. All are highly skilled at ensuring minimal crowds by approaching various temples via lesser used approaches and at the quieter times of the day. This helps us ensure that every day you spend at the site is 2nd to none.
How close to the Angkor temples can I get?
Close enough to touch...there are no restrictions. You are invited to walk over, through, under and amongst the majority of the temples you will visit. At certain times of the year, various temples may be behind rope allowing essential restoration work to be carried out. Again, your guide will be able to minimise any impact on your visit.
What should I take with me ?
A day at Angkor can be a hot one! You will have an air-conditioned vehicle with you throughout the day but it is advisable to take plenty of sunscreen, a sun hat and long, loose trousers and top. Take plenty of camera film/memory cards.
Entry to the site
You will need two passport photos for your entry permit (cost included) and it is advisable to obtain these before arriving at the gates as this will save time queuing. If you wish to use a video style camera at the site you will need to obtain a permit at the entry gates and your guide will help you with this (costnotincluded).
