Plans change, emergencies occur…. at Selective Asia we are well aware that from time to time some of our guests may need to make alterations after confirming a booking with us - and that sometimes this may be voluntary, and at others it may enforced by external circumstances out of our guest’s control.
We will always endeavour to do everything possible to help our guests in these instances. However, at times our hands are tied when it comes to the cost of date changes and cancellations. This is due to payments we have already made to suppliers on your behalf – these costs will have to be passed onto the customer. It works like this:
Changing the dates of your booking
Prior to any deposit being taken
No charge for any date changes made.
Once you have paid a deposit
To be dealt with on a case by case basis. At times, this will incur charges passed down from a 3rd party or supplier. In many cases, the closer to the start date, the higher they become.
Please note - often land and flight arrangements have differing cancellation conditions. Please read your booking confirmation carefully.
Once you have paid in full

Cancelling your booking

Insurance
Many people leave purchasing travel insurance until the very last minute and are not aware that they are losing the benefit of one aspect of the policy. Along with all the normal benefits that an insurance policy offers you, we include cancellation cover at no additional premium. This offers cover if you should have to cancel your journey before commencement as a result of:
i) the death, accidental bodily injury, illness, compulsory quarantine, redundancy that qualifies for payment under current redundancy legislation, cancellation of leave for British forces, Police or government security staff, summoning to jury service or witness attendance in a court of an insured person or insured travelling companion.
ii) the death, serious injury or illness of a close relative, or the person with whom the insured person intends to reside at the holiday or journey destination, or dependant business partner of the insured person or insured travelling companion which necessitates the presence of the person concerned.
iii) Hi-jack.
iv) adverse weather conditions making it impossible for an insured person to travel to point of departure at commencement of outward journey.
v) major damage or burglary at the insured person's home or place of business which at the request of an emergency service requires their presence.
